About us
Mr. M. Shanmugasundaram, the founder and proprietor of M.S.S. Mills, began his journey in 1975 as a cotton waste merchant. He sourced cotton waste from various spinning mills and supplied it to open-end spinners and for bedding purposes. Recognizing the growing demand for coarse count yarns, he established M.S.S. Mills in 1992 in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, focusing on open-end yarn (OE yarn) manufacturing. Initially, the company produced coarse count yarns using cotton waste, and later adopted sustainable practices by recycling garment cutting waste into cotton for diverse yarn shades. Today M.S.S. Mills produces 10 tonnes of OE yarn daily, meeting the needs of both knitting and weaving industries, and is committed to quality with state-of-the-art machinery. Our products are supplied nation wide and we also have a export presence.
Textile and fashion industries have a huge environmental footprint. Considering this in mind, we decided to be Eco-friendly to our environment. By using the garments cutting waste and polyester staple fibre (PSF) which are made from pet bottles we manufacture good quality recycled yarns that are environmentally very well suited for manufacturing of woven and knitted products.
